Hidden green gem
It’s easy to see why we chose to name this development Grand Yard. From your living room you have a view of a superb hidden secret. This courtyard garden gives the concept of city garden a whole new meaning. On summer days, you can sit outside under your umbrella. In autumn, you can chat with your neighbours as you stroll through your secret garden. In winter, you stay indoors where it’s cosy and warm. And in spring... you get to enjoy all the loveliness of your secret garden all over again.
A home to your rhythm
You bike through the streets of the Markgrave and Oud-Berchem neighbourhoods. Here, everything feels quieter, more open and spacious, compared with the busy city centre. The streets are lined with stately townhouses. If you look around, you’ll notice this neighbourhood is developing at a rapid pace. The streets are becoming safer, healthier and greener. Once home, you can park your bike in the large bicycle storage. Your car can stay underground for now... until the sun sets, because that’s when the city comes to life and you may want to head out!
“Our main focus is on the materials and finish because we believe a renovation project like this one should exude class. We want Grand Yard to exist in natural harmony with the rest of the neighbourhood.”

Place to be(come)
The innovation is most tangible here, on the city fringe. You will be moving to one of Antwerp’s most promising neighbourhoods. Everything is within walking distance. You can do your shopping around the corner, at the Albert Heijn supermarket, among others. The best ‘pizza e pasta’ can be found on the opposite side of the street at Il Carpaccio. There are five parks around Grand Yard, giving you access to a vast public garden.
Culture and sports in one neighbourhood
Trendy and innovative also means culture. Do you love the theatre, dance or music? De Singel is within walking distance. After the performance, you can head to the Grand Café with your friends and catch up over a drink. Antwerp Expo, the international event venue, is just up the road. This is where Art Antwerp, the annual art fair, takes place. But you probably already knew that? There are several gyms nearby for a good workout. The Wezenberg Olympic swimming pool is just 500 metres from Grand Yard. You can also go for a run in one of the many parks. As you can see, there are lots of options for staying in shape.
Fine dining for every budget
There are several excellent restaurants nearby. Restaurant Minerva, which is located in an old garage and warehouse built in 1926 for the Minerva car company, is a great place for lunch and dinner. Bistro Vin d’Où’s natural and beautifully balanced menu, meanwhile, has earned it glowing praise in the GaultMillau guide. The Butcher’s Son (*) is a Michelin-starred restaurant. If you’re a barbecue lover, Black Smoke is just the place for you. We bet you will love their rooftop bar, even if you don’t like meat.
A school close to home
Do you want your children to go to a school close to home? There are several nice schools near Grand Yard. Your munchkins can go to De Kleine Wereld, a small city school. Enjoying green surroundings
The city is increasingly becoming a place where you can also spend time outdoors. Grand Yard is surrounded by green space, with five parks within walking distance of your new home.
